LATEST NEWS New routes: Ryanair announce a new flight Edinburgh to Pisa commencing April 2008. Other new Ryanair routes include Birmingham to Pisa (starting 4th April 2008) Bologna (starting 20th June 2008), Trieste (starting 18th June 2008), Olbia (Sardinia - starting 4th July 2008), Trapani (Sicily- starting 2nd July 2008). For details visit www.ryanair.com We can’t book flights for our clients but we hope that you will find this information page helpful. Italy is very well-served by airlines flying from the UK, and the list of departure airports and destinations is growing all the time. We advise that you check the airlines’ websites listed below for further details. They offer mainly scheduled flights but a travel agent will be able to advise you of any charter flights which may also be of interest. As an alternative to the traditional airlines, the market has been revolutionised by the emergence of newer "no-frills" services e.g. Ryanair and Easyjet. The differences are lower prices (sometimes!), no free inflight meal or entertainment (though snacks and drinks are usually available to buy) and often no tickets (the airlines confirm by fax or email). Our own experiences with these airlines have been excellent, so they are certainly worth investigating. BA, Alitalia and other operators are fighting back however, so it is always worth doing a cost comparison. Here is a guide to the Italian airports and the areas they serve:
