Most are within walking distance of a food shop and/or restaurant. Remember to take a torch with you if staying in the countryside and walking into a town or village at night – there probably won’t be any street lighting!

Pozzonovo. Stone farmhouse divided into 3 apartments (sleeping 2 + 2 + 4). 1.5km walk to the town of Castiglion Fiorentino with wide range of shops and railway station on Florence-Rome mainline.

Casa Fanfulla, Marciano della Chiana, Tuscany. The house is divided into 2 apartments : Il Panorama (sleeps 6) & La Rocca (sleeps 5). Shared pool. Distance to village of Marciano: 500m.

Casa Grion, Corchiano, Lazio. 3 double bedrooms with private bathroom with shower. Sleeps 7. Pool shared occasionally with owners.  Only 1 hour from Rome by train or bus. Distance to village of Corchiano: 500m.
