San Boldo is a beautiful early 18th century palazzo in the San Polo district of Venice, a quiet yet central location just a short walk from the Rialto bridge. The palazzo has recently been restored to the highest specification to make three luxurious and spacious apartments. Two of these, Grimani and Loredan, are available for rent; the third is occupied by the charming owners. With their beamed ceilings, faux marbled walls and elegant furnishings the apartments offer to even the most demanding of clients a level of comfort, convenience and relaxation rarely found in Venice.

San Boldo is an "L" shaped building bordered on one side by a small square and on the other by a canal : it is possible to arrive directly by taxi-boat from the airport! The property has its own garden with table and chairs for outside dining, a gazebo and Venice's only private tennis court, which can be booked by guests.

Set in a quiet residential area with small local food shops and restaurants nearby, it provides a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of life yet is only minutes away from Rialto, San Marco and the famous sights of this most vibrant of cities.

Accommodation details

Loredan apartment (100m2 / about 1100 sq.ft) occupies the entire second floor of the palazzo and is reached by an internal stone staircase. The various rooms offer wonderful views of Venice: from the dining room you can see the small square (Campo San Boldo), whereas the larger twin-bedded room overlooks the canal. The decor is elegant, with exposed beams, decorative tiling, Venetian terrazzo and parquet flooring and faux marbled walls. The apartment has central heating, air conditioning (in season) and a central radio system with speakers in various rooms.

Second Floor: Living room (with video door phone, satellite TV and telephone) overlooking the tennis-court, a well-equipped kitchen (with refrigerator, freezer, oven, electric kettle, coffee-maker, dishwasher), dining room, two twin-bedded rooms (one of which has a small "Z" bed for an additional guest), two bathrooms (one with bath and shower, the other with shower only). There is a laundry room with washing machine and ironing board.

Guests staying at Loredan also have access to the garden, and may book the tennis court if they wish. In view of the exceptional quality of the furnishings in this apartment, we regret that children under the age of twelve years cannot be accommodated.
