San Boldo is a beautiful early 18th century palazzo in the San Polo district of Venice, a quiet yet central location just a short walk from the Rialto bridge. The palazzo has recently been restored to the highest specification to make three luxurious and spacious apartments. Two of these, Grimani and Loredan, are available for rent; the third is occupied by the charming owners. With their beamed ceilings, faux marbled walls and elegant furnishings the apartments offer to even the most demanding of clients a level of comfort, convenience and relaxation rarely found in Venice.

San Boldo is an "L" shaped building bordered on one side by a small square and on the other by a canal : it is possible to arrive directly by taxi-boat from the airport! The property has its own garden with table and chairs for outside dining, a gazebo and Venice's only private tennis court, which can be booked by guests.

Set in a quiet residential area with small local food shops and restaurants nearby, it provides a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of life yet is only minutes away from Rialto, San Marco and the famous sights of this most vibrant of cities.

Accommodation details

Grimani is a large apartment (140m2 / approx . 1500sq.ft) set on two floors. From the living room there is a lovely view of the San Boldo canal with its small bridge and passing gondolas, and direct access to the garden, where guests can sit, read and dine alfresco.

Ground Floor: Entrance, light and airy living room with a dining table, card table and satellite TV, well equipped kitchen (with oven, refrigerator, freezer, electric kettle, coffee-maker, toaster, dishwasher), one double bedroom in which the beds can be made up as one double or a pair of singles, bathroom with bath, shower and hairdryer. There is a video door phone, central heating, air conditioning (in season), a central radio system with speakers in each room, and a telephone.

First Floor, reached by a lovely wooden spiral staircase: A gallery room with one double sofa-bed and an additional single divan bed suitable for a child, one twin-bedded room, a laundry room with washing machine and ironing board, a bathroom with shower. The floors are Venetian terrazzo and parquet, and the walls are hung with antique prints adding to the character of the apartment.

In view of the exceptional quality of the furnishings in this apartment, we regret that children under the age of twelve years cannot be accommodated.

This apartment can be rented all year round.

Price: Around Euro 2100 per week.
