French Railways run a motorail service as far as Nice (the service down
through Italy was discontinued many years ago).
Alternatively you can travel to Alessandria and Livorno in Italy from the Dutch town of 's-Hertogenbosch - visit Autoslaap Trein. Livorno is particularly useful for clients staying in Tuscany.
