At Agrigento the Valley of the Temples is a must, and the coastline is famed for its beaches for example Eraclea. In the North, Palermo, the capital, is a busy town with lively markets and great Arabian and Baroque architecture.Siracusa (Syracuse), was an important Greek colony, the home of Archimedes. Today it is one of the most important archeological sites outside of Greece.
